Skyler learning how to chop wood

When we stay with people, we like to dive into their world and feel what it would be like to live a different life.  We don’t just want to just enjoy their perfect sledding driveway, but also learn how to shovel it.  It not only helps them out (hopefully), but helps us gain even a greater appreciation.  Understandably it is hard to appreciate a warm fireplace anymore than one already does, but it is possible.  Skyler felt embarrassed by his wood chopping skills, but I was swooning and impressed.  We did have a few laughs as he missed his target or the log would bounce off unscratched.  However once he figured it out, he was like a machine and the layers slowly came off until he was outside in the 30 degrees in a t-shirt.
