Mr & Mrs Pierce were here

I became friends with this beautiful bride the year before the world was introduced to Spice Girls.  People said we shared a brain, we were ridiculous, inseparable and lived in our own little world.  So much has happened since then.  We grew up, grew the second half of our own brains, learned to use silverware to eat mac’n’cheese, got drivers licenses, went on vacations together without our parents, and one of us met their human.

After so many MASH games, notes passed, childhood crushes, and chick flicks, to finally see the man that captures your childhood best friend’s heart is unreal.  Carrie never knew she would fall for a cowboy, when country was the only thing you wouldn’t find on her iPod, but a cowboy named Jimmy is exactly what we never knew she needed.

Carrie has a heart like no one else.  She can be completely frank with you but at the same time give to you selflessly and with every ounce of love she has.   And I have found that to be true with Jimmy. The way they take care of each other and love each other without a 2nd plan is beautiful and something all their close friends and family have experienced first hand.  These two are now a family, and I can’t wait to see how they grow and evolve together over the next decades, just like Carrie and I had.
